I want to emphasize how they white washed Naomi to make a point. The beastly, angry terrible black woman image doesn’t work if the competitor is also black. There is no foil there. Setting up a thin, blonde calm white woman is needed to drive home how terrible Serena apparently is. This is why co structures of racialized womanhood need to be examined.

I want everyone to take a good long look at this. This is how the world sees dark skin black women. This is how we are allowed to be treated. This is the extent to which we are dehumanized, degraded, and disrespected.
